There are more than 60 hospitals that cater not only Thai locals and expatriates but also foreign visitors that come in the country just to seek medical attention. It is indeed true that some healthcare institutions in Bangkok having conformed to the international standards have built good medical reputations outside the country that several of their patients have come abroad.
Hospitals here are categorized into private, modern private, and government-owned; or according to modest and luxurious hospitalization otherwise, Thai and Western-style hospitals. Most of these health establishments have special capabilities like MRI, CT, PACS, radiation therapy, and plastic or cosmetic surgery.
